Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director of Surgical Services the Operating Room Technician has 8 hour accountability for the safe care of patients in the Operating Suites

Working in a team effort with the circulating nurse to provide specialized care

Scrubs in on surgical cases and is responsible for maintaining sterile techniques

Must possess thorough knowledge of instrument usage and care

May transport patients and be required to put away equipment
