Responsible for developing & implementing the strategic vision for Patient Financial Services (PFS) functions
Oversee the organization's billing, collections, cash posting, denial management, and Customer Service functions to maximize revenue and ensure compliance
Key responsibilities include managing staff and budgets, developing policies and procedures, analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) like accounts receivable (AR) days and denial rates, collaborating with other departments, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations to improve operational efficiency and the overall patient financial experience
Serves as the leader of PFS to internal & external organizations, including government agencies, payer organizations, vendors & business partners
Lead, coach, and develop the Patient Financial Services (PFS) team, conducting performance evaluations and staff development plans

Required

Work requires the knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Health Care Management or closely related field
Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle management and patient financial services leadership
Experience working with Finance, PFS, and other Revenue Cycle leaders to present key performance indicators with accounts receivable analysis
Expertise in all aspects of the patient financial services (PFS) process, such as billing, collections, cash posting, and maintaining accounts receivable
Possesses and demonstrates excellent communication, organizational, technical, and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret financial reports, identify process improvements, and achieve results
Proven aptitude for problem-solving and critical thinking
Advanced proficiency working in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Strong knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid guidelines
Experience in a hospital setting, especially a large or acute care facility
