Akicita Federal, LLC is seeking highly skilled and compassionate Emergency Room Registered Nurses (ER RNs) to provide professional nursing services at the Hopi Health Care Center in Polacca, AZ. This role supports the Emergency Department and ensures continuity of patient care in a remote healthcare setting, where nurses will stabilize patients, administer treatment, and collaborate with healthcare staff in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop care plans, and implement nursing interventions

Carry out physician orders, including administering medications, blood products, oxygen, and treatments

Operate and manage medical equipment such as EKG machines, ventilators, and therapeutic devices

Monitor and document patient vital signs, neurological status, and response to treatments

Provide direct patient care, including assisting with daily living activities and ambulation

Recognize and respond to life-threatening emergencies, adverse drug reactions, and other critical conditions

Collect and process patient specimens (blood, urine, stool, etc.)

Coordinate care with physicians, ancillary staff, and interdisciplinary teams

Supervise and direct support staff in patient care delivery

Maintain compliance with CMS, Joint Commission, and IHS standards, ensuring accurate and timely charting in electronic health records

Uphold cultural sensitivity and provide care that respects the traditions and values of Native American patients
