HVAC Maintenance Tech
RTX Corporation is an Aerospace and Defense company that provides advanced systems and services for commercial, military and government customers worldwide. The HVAC Maintenance Tech will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair infrastructure systems including HVAC and building automation controls, and work as part of the facilities maintenance team during night shifts.
Responsibilities
Maintain, troubleshoot and repair all infrastructure systems including HVAC, Chilled Water Distribution, pumps, motors, and frontend Building automation controls
Perform as a first night shift compressed facilities mechanic supporting plant operations
Provide coverage and support for the facility days/nights/weekends if business, schedule, or emergency situations arise
Qualification
Required
This role typically requires an HS Diploma or GED or AA/AS degree (or another 2 year post HS training) and 4 or more years of relevant experience
At least 4 years' experience in (three or more) of the following areas: HVAC and Building Automation Controls, Maintenance of pumps, motors, valve and actuator operation, Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems, Refrigeration cycles
At least 2 years' experience with and strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and complex schematics as well as knowledge of OSHA regulations and standards for Safe work practice, hazard assessment and mitigation
Preferred
Computer acumen to include a strong understanding of the function and application of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) as well as common office technology including MS office suite of software and other Web based tools
Customer Focused with strong Oral/ Written Communication skills
Expertise in Electrical, VFD's and motor controls and leading team members
PLC controls troubleshooting
Journeyman level license in relevant field
