Responsibilities

Provision of primary and secondary care of patients in the intensive care unit
Provision of emergency services outside of normal hospital hours including evenings, overnight, weekend and holiday shifts
Involvement in daily case rounds, weekly house officer rounds, and weekly seminars
Preparing and giving a hospital wide seminar twice during the internship
Instruction of third- and fourth-year veterinary students
Encouraged to prepare a manuscript for publication in a clinical or scientific journal

Required

D.V.M. degree or equivalent (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
Eligibility for faculty licensure in Oklahoma is required

Preferred

Experience in private practice or a prior internship experience is preferable
The ideal candidate should make collegiality, cooperation, team work and willingness to assist and collaborate with specialists in other disciplines a priority
