Responsibilities

Provide exemplary direct patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings
Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures with precision and empathy
Engage in mentorship and educational activities, shaping the future of gastroenterology by imparting knowledge to medical students, residents, and fellows
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss complex cases and contribute to comprehensive care plans
Lead and collaborate on clinical and translational research projects, contributing to the advancement of evidence-based practices in gastroenterology
Commit to ongoing professional development and stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field
Lead and oversee the IBD program's educational and research initiatives
Manage a variety of responsibilities ranging from direct patient care to educational and research activities within the IBD specialty
Develop and implement innovative clinical programs to improve patient outcomes
Conduct and oversee clinical trials and other research projects
Secure funding for research and educational programs
Mentor and educate medical students, residents, and fellows
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to advance the field of IBD through continuous research and education efforts

Required

Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
Board certification or eligibility from the American Board of Internal Medicine required

Completion of an accredited residency in internal medicine
Completion of a fellowship training program in gastroenterology or hepatology required
