Responsibilities
Lead a team of skilled staff to provide planned care for patients requiring perioperative intervention
Support the theatre manager by providing regular updates and reports on your team and speciality
Provide specialist advice and expertise to the team and consultants
Liaise with consultants regarding planning and special requirements for lists
Advise and collaborate with SSD and other key departments on specialist equipment maintenance
Work with the Robotic Clinical Lead to develop a training plan ensuring staff competency in robotic systems
Qualification
Required
RN or ODP qualification
Strong anaesthetics experience
Ability to analyze staff and theatre management challenges and provide effective solutions
Clinical reasoning skills applied to complex and varied patient case mixes
Proven ability to challenge and influence consultants toward evidence-based practice
Registered Nurse (RN) or Operating Department Practitioner (ODP)
Extensive perioperative and anaesthetics experience
Preferred
Supervisory or leadership experience in perioperative settings
Experience working with robotic surgical systems
