They are seeking a part-time Surgical Technologist / Scrub Tech who will scrub for surgical procedures, maintain a sterile field, prepare supplies and instruments, and support quality improvement activities.

Responsibilities

The Surgical Technologist scrubs for surgical procedures and demonstrates competence while functioning as a member of the surgical team

Maintains a sterile field during surgical procedures

Prepares supplies, instruments, and equipment related to these procedures

Supports the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center

Supports and participates in quality improvement activities

Qualification

Scrub Technician Certification2+ years Scrub Tech experienceMedical terminology familiarityDiplomaGED

Required

High School Diploma or GED

Completion of a Scrub Technician Program. Certification preferable

2+ years experience as a Scrub Tech in multiple specialties or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Able to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations

General familiarity with medical terminology as it pertains to anatomy and surgical procedures for an operating room
