Responsibilities
Perform field investigations, including soil sampling, classification, and logging
Conduct soil testing and inspection for site development, construction, and foundation projects
Assist in preparing field reports, technical documentation, and recommendations for project teams
Support geotechnical engineers with data collection, analysis, and documentation
Coordinate with contractors, site supervisors, and engineering staff to ensure compliance with project specifications
Participate in quality control/assurance activities related to soils and construction materials
Qualification
Required
Associate or bachelor's degree in engineering technology, construction science, geology, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered
Knowledge of soil mechanics, compaction testing, and site evaluation methods
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) for reporting and documentation
Strong observational, documentation, and communication skills
Ability to work in outdoor field conditions and lift equipment/materials (up to 50 lbs)
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to local project sites
Preferred
10-15 years of experience in soil testing, inspection, or construction materials testing preferred
