Mesh is seeking a Summer 2026 AI Engineer Intern to join their small, fast-moving team. The intern will work directly with the founders and early engineers to prototype, train, and deploy AI-powered accounting agents, contributing to real features in production.

Responsibilities

Design and build AI workflows using LLMs (LangChain, RAG, agents)
Contribute to our internal rule engine and workflow builder
Help improve accuracy, explainability, and reliability of AI outputs for mission-critical accounting use cases
Collaborate with the founding team on new product ideas, and ship them quickly

Qualification

Required

Currently pursuing a BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, AI, or a related field
Strong programming skills (Python required; SQL and React/Tailwind a plus)
Experience with LLM frameworks (LangChain, Hugging Face, OpenAI APIs, etc.)
Interest in reasoning, agent frameworks, and data workflows
Most importantly: curiosity, scrappiness, and excitement about building in a startup environment
