AUDITOR V - OAHU
The State of Hawaiʻi is conducting a recruitment for the position of Auditor V, which involves supervising and participating in field audits of governmental accounts and business entities. The role requires applying sound accounting judgment and auditing standards to ensure compliance and adequacy of accounting systems.

Responsibilities
Supervises and participates in field audits of governmental books of accounts, business entities, regulated public utilities and transportation companies, etc
Assumes complete charge of a team of auditors engaged in an extensive or complicated audit
Prepares financial exhibits and audits reports and performs other duties as required
Qualification
Required
Legal Authorization To Work
A bachelor's degree from an accredited four (4) year college or university with at least twelve (12) semester credit hours in accounting and/or auditing subjects
Four (4) years of progressively responsible professional auditing experience requiring the knowledge and application of generally accepted professional accounting and auditing principles, standards, theory and practices for the purpose of analyzing and interpreting accounting books, records, or systems
Supervisory aptitude rather than actual supervisory experience may be accepted
Possession of a valid driver's license at the time of appointment may be required
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Accounting (BAcc): Applicants who possess a bachelor's degree with a major in accounting or a bachelor's degree with accounting and/or auditing coursework equivalent to a bachelor's degree in accounting, from an accredited college or university will be deemed to have met the education and experience requirements for the class Auditor II
Master's degree in Accounting (MAcc): Applicants who possess a master's degree in accounting or a master degree with accounting and/or auditing coursework equivalent to a master's degree in accounting, from an accredited college or university will be deemed to have met all the basic education and experience requirements for the class Auditor II
