Urban Health Plan, Inc. is a community-focused healthcare organization dedicated to improving health and quality of life. They are seeking a full-time Creative Arts Therapist (LCAT) to provide psychotherapy services and support to individuals and families at Vida Guidance Center.

Responsibilities

Completes documentation in accordance with OMH regulations. Monitors treatment plans for patients

Provides bio-psychosocial assessments and clinical diagnostic assessments

Conducts individual psychotherapy and counseling services to children within public schools

Maintains skills and knowledge in clinical theory and practice to help patients overcome dependencies, adjust to life, and make changes

Provides counseling to family members to assist with understanding and supporting patients

Engages in crisis intervention when necessary and refers patients or family to community resources

Provides consultation to medical providers. Collaborates with physicians to develop and implement treatment and intervention programs

Participates in clinical team meetings

Qualification

Degree in Creative Arts TherapyNYS Licensed Creative Arts Therapist (LCAT)Evidence-based modalities2+ years mental health experienceBilingual EnglishSpanish

Required

Master's Degree in Creative Arts Therapy required

NYS Licensed Creative Arts Therapist (LCAT)

2+ years of previous experience in a mental health clinic, hospital, behavioral health, or similar setting required

Familiarity with evidence-based modalities

Preferred

Bilingual English and Spanish
