In this role, the intern will improve their pharmacotherapeutic knowledge and gain experience in patient counseling, while delivering medications and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities
Fill prescriptions in the DCAM Outpatient Pharmacy
Deliver medications throughout the hospital to patient bedside
Provide counseling to patients who are discharged on new medications
Provide acute and comprehensive information about medications and address medication concerns of the patient or caregiver
Interact with members of the interdisciplinary team (physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and care coordinators) to collaborate and provide efficient and effective medication therapy management
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
Current Illinois Pharmacy Technician License
Student currently enrolled in an accredited college of pharmacy
Preferred
Preferred one year of pharmacy experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy setting
Preferred hire during 2nd year of pharmacy school and work up until graduation
