Sappi is looking for an energetic, self-motivated Electrical Engineering student for a Co-op position in their Engineering Department. The co-op engineer will work alongside Electrical Engineers to provide CAD drafting services, document management support, and assist with engineering duties to improve production efficiency.

Responsibilities

Provide layout and detailed drawings for Electrical, Instrumentation, and general engineering design
Distribution, filing and maintenance of all drawings and associated documents
Complete all company safety training
Assist engineer in planning and implementing projects to improve production efficiency
Assist others with special projects and presentations when requested

Required

Electrical Engineering student
Full-time availability for a nine month co-op starting in January 2026
Completion of a minimum of 2 years in an accredited engineering program
GPA of 3.0 or higher
Microsoft Word and Excel experience required
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to work with other people in a respectful, consistent and fair manner
Good organizing, planning and coordinating abilities
Creativity in creating new methods of displaying and presenting documentation
Must have a valid driver's license with a demonstrated safe driving record

Preferred

Experience with Microsoft Access
Experience with Microsoft Project
Experience with Microsoft FrontPage
Experience with Autodesk ACAD
Experience with Autodesk Inventor
