Inpatient Internist
NYU Langone Health is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible internist to join its Inpatient Psychiatry Services at Bellevue Hospital. This role focuses on providing comprehensive medical care for psychiatric inpatients in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities
Provide direct medical care to patients on the inpatient psychiatry units
Complete admission history and physical exams for new psychiatric admissions
Coordinate with after-hours medical team through appropriate sign-outs
Participate in team-based care, collaborating with psychiatrists, NPs, and RNs
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Comply with all departmental policies and regulatory requirements
Participate in credentialing, annual health assessments, and mandatory training programs
Optional: Participate in compensated after-hours MD coverage (outside salaried hours)
Other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of the Medical Psychiatry Service or the Chief of Adult Psychiatry
Qualification
Required
MD or DO from an accredited medical school
Completion of residency in Internal Medicine at an ACGME-accredited program
Clinical competence in adult inpatient medicine
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred
Experience in ambulatory and acute medical care settings
Experience and interest in working with mentally ill populations
Flexible and solution-oriented professional with a proactive attitude
