Responsibilities
Read electrical and control schematics and assemble and wire panels to specification for PLC controls, operator consoles, variable speed drives, motor controls, and/or pneumatic controls
Inspect and test completed panels
Maintain equipment and tools in a neat, clean, and efficient work area
Work with shop manager to schedule and prioritize tasks
Occasionally support installations at local customer facilities
Qualification
Required
Availability during core hours of shop operation, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm (some flexibility available)
Formal electrical training or demonstrated on-the-job experience in the electrical field
Demonstrated mechanical ability
Knowledge of proper and safe use of hand tools and small power tools
Attention to detail
Teamwork and dependability
Ability to coordinate multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Must be safety conscious
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds; some lifting may be required from knee to shoulder height or other levels
Ability to carry and transport up to 60 pounds for short distances (up to 20 feet)
Role requires periods of standing and moving, including stretching, reaching, walking, stooping, pushing, and pulling
Work may take place in varied environments that can be cold, hot, noisy, or wet, and may include exposure to odors or fumes
Preferred
Previous panel building experience preferred (willing to train a motivated candidate)
Familiarity with NEC, UL, and/or CSA codes preferred
