Deputy Attorney General I-V/ White Collar Crime - Fraud & Consumer Protection Div. Position is statewide; location may be Kent or Sussex County
The State of Delaware's Attorney General's Office seeks a Deputy Attorney General to join the White Collar Crime Unit in the Fraud & Consumer Protection Division. This role involves prosecuting financial misconduct cases, representing the Unit in various meetings, and collaborating with investigative partners across the state.

Responsibilities
Decide what cases should be prosecuted
Which should be resolved by trial
Try the cases that are not otherwise resolved
Represent the Unit at meetings involving business crime issues
Meet with referral agencies to address issues in the investigation and prosecution of cases within the Unit’s jurisdiction
Perform intakes and reviewing cases for prosecution
Work as part of a team with the other members of the WCCU on the full range of WCCU cases
Qualification
Required
Admission to the Delaware Bar is required
Candidates should have a record of solid academic achievement
Candidates should have relevant work experience
Candidates should have good writing skills
Candidates should have an understanding of all facets of the investigation and litigation of complex criminal matters
Candidates should have substantial felony trial experience
Candidates should have significant experience handling document-intensive cases involving financial misconduct
Candidates should have demonstrated ability to evaluate criminal cases, determine resolutions, and anticipate legal issues
The successful candidate must have or be able to develop a good working relationship with other Deputy Attorneys General, investigative partners, support staff, and court personnel
The Deputy Attorney General should be able to work independently and meet deadlines
Preferred
Familiarity with finance, tax, or accounting is helpful, but not a prerequisite
