Responsibilities

Loads, transports, and unloads equipment, supplies, and materials necessary for the completion of each job; inventories upon receipt and return
Operates tapping machine to make collection and distribution taps and service connections
Lays collection and distribution pipes adjusting to proper grade and depth following established standards
Repairs and replaces collection and distribution lines and related facilities
Assists in the operation of sewer rodding, jet, and vacuum machines to unstop collection lines. Operates closed-circuit television sewer camera
Operates dump trucks, jackhammers, tamp, pipe threading machines, tapping machines, air compressors, boring machines, pumps, and other related equipment
Other related duties as assigned

Qualification

North Carolina CDL Class BOperation of hand toolsSewer line maintenanceUtility line mapsEffective working relationships

Required

Completion of high school or equivalent
North Carolina Class B Commercial Driver License
Some experience in the assigned area of responsibility
