Responsibilities

Optimize image and video codecs for 2D/3D video, Multiview video, et al
Design and develop encoding optimization algorithms for various usecases
Research and develop visual quality-oriented video coding and processing algorithms

Qualification

Required

Currently pursuing a PhD in computer science or electrical engineering/mathematics/statistics and related disciplines
Good understanding of state-of-art compression/transmission/processing algorithms
Excellent programming, debugging, and optimization skills in one or more general-purpose programming languages including but not limited to: C/C++ and Python

Preferred

Experience in development of video coding techniques, both traditional and deep learning approaches
Familiar with one of the video compression standards, e.g., AVS/H.264/H.265/VVC/AV1 and its reference software
Familiar with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch etc
Familiar with deep learning model optimization and acceleration
