Responsibilities
Oversee all HR functions and HR staff for the MISS Program, ensuring alignment with KBR's policies, values, strategic objectives and in compliance with local labor laws
Manage recruitment, onboarding, and retention processes to attract and retain top talent
Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of changes and updates
Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that promote a positive and inclusive work environment
Provide leadership and support to the HR team, fostering professional development and growth
Handle employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance management
Coordinate and facilitate training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge
Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, ensuring data integrity and compliance with company standards
Prepare and present HR reports to senior management, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement
Collaborate with other departments to support organizational goals and initiatives
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Must be able to pass a U.S. Government background investigation and obtain a Secret Security clearance and maintain it for the duration of your employment on this contract. Due to this, you must be a U.S. Citizen to be eligible for this position
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field and at least 8 years of relevant HR experience, with at least 3 years in an HR supervisory or management role
Must have a strong understanding of HR practices and principles
Requires excellent English communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to facilitate and disseminate information at all levels
Must have a proven ability to lead and manage a team, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a proactive approach to addressing challenges, is required
Must have a high level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to KBR's values of safety, integrity, and teamwork and excellence
Experience working in a multicultural environment, with sensitivity to diverse cultural backgrounds is required
Must have proficiency in HR software and the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Must be willing to travel to various locations in Iraq as needed
Requires a valid passport with at least 12 months of validity and 6 blank pages
Preferred
Active U.S. Government issued Secret Security Clearance
Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR)
Previous experience working in an overseas or remote location, particularly in a similar industry
Knowledge of Iraqi local labor laws
