Responsibilities

Answers telephones. Handles incoming and outgoing calls in an efficient, expedient manner. Connects the the caller with proper destination based on request or interpretation of caller need. Intake and communication of Shared Services telephone requests that require 24/7 service

Acts as communication liaison by utilizing multiple forms of telecommunication to connect and relay information to all Mosaic Life Care caregivers, patients and visitors

Performs correct procedure for contacting "on-call" caregivers to facilitate patient care

Notifies pharmacy/distribution of Code Blue Cart Exchange

Other duties as assigned

Qualification

TelecommunicationMedical terminologyPrioritizationCommunication skillsComputer literacySecretary experienceTyping speed 40 wpm

Required

H.S. Diploma required

Communicating with multiple forms of telecommunication required

Proficient in usage of medical terminology required

Excellent communication skills, and the ability to prioritize

Preferred

Experience as a secretary in a health care setting is preferred

Minimum speed of 40 words per minute and computer literacy is preferred
