Responsibilities
Conduct quality tests: crosshatch, mil thickness, pencil hardness, cure, gloss, reverse impact, puck testing
Operate precision tools and gauges for material inspection and defect analysis
Support APQP and PPAP documentation: Process Flow Diagrams, PFMEA, Control Plans
Investigate nonconforming materials and lead root cause analysis and corrective actions
Collaborate with Customer Service and Engineering on RMAs and rework options
Audit shop floor processes and ensure compliance with work instructions and standards (e.g., AAMA)
Qualification
Required
Experience with quality inspection tools and small hand tools
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; strong data entry accuracy
Ability to read, revise, and create technical documents and work instructions
Familiarity with Quality Management Systems and continuous improvement practices
Strong attention to detail for visual defect identification
Preferred
Post-secondary education or technical certifications preferred
