Responsibilities

Support key partners throughout their application development lifecycle on the Roku platform, from design and integration through launch and updates
Act as a technical liaison, helping partners understand Roku’s SDKs, tools, and best practices
Work closely with Roku engineering, product, and partner management teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
Provide clear technical guidance on application architecture, streaming standards, and performance optimization
Assist with certification and testing processes, ensuring high-quality and compliant applications
Contribute feedback to improve Roku SDKs, documentation, and developer experience
Build strong professional relationships with partner engineering and product teams, representing Roku with professionalism and technical expertise
This role combines technical problem-solving with communication and relationship management. You will gain exposure to senior engineers and executives while learning how to influence partner roadmaps and contribute to Roku’s growing ecosystem

Required

3–5 years of software development experience
Proficiency in C++ or a similar programming language; experience with other system-level or application development languages (e.g., Java, Objective-C, Go) is a plus
Hands-on experience with at least one of the following: video streaming protocols (HLS, DASH, Smooth Streaming), APIs (REST/GraphQL), or embedded systems
Familiarity with Linux, Git, and common development workflows
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, with the ability to communicate solutions clearly
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience working across technical and non-technical teams
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Preferred

Exposure to OpenGL, graphics frameworks, or embedded development
