The Carpenter Health Network is looking for Respiratory Therapists (RT) to join their team at Capitol House Nursing and Rehabilitation. The role involves providing respiratory therapeutic services to patients, documenting procedures, and communicating with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.

Responsibilities

Provide general respiratory therapeutic services to patients including oxygen, medical gas, and humidification and suction therapies

Document patient/resident procedures, organize and analyze data, maintain accurate records

Communicate relevant patient/resident information to appropriate physicians and caregivers

Provide staff education related to respiratory therapy

Exhibits commitment to results by looking for and recommending/implementing process improvements

Monitor patient/resident progress and update respiratory care plan as needed

Required

Credentialed by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) and be a graduate of an approved AMA school of Respiratory Therapy

Current and active Louisiana Respiratory Therapy license

Must be knowledgeable of general, rehabilitative and restorative nursing and medical practices, procedures, laws, regulations and guidelines governing long term care

Must be able to work flexible schedule including 12-hour shifts

Patient care oriented

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Positive attitude
