Responsibilities
Design & Build Pipelines: Develop scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and streaming workflows that power data-driven products and analytics
Architect Data Systems: Build and optimize data lakes, warehouses, and real-time streaming infrastructure
Enable Analytics: Partner with data scientists and analysts to ensure high-quality, well-structured, and discoverable datasets
Ensure Reliability: Implement best practices for testing, monitoring, and observability across all data systems
Optimize Performance: Tune data infrastructure for speed, scale, and cost efficiency in cloud environments
Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with product and engineering teams to deliver data solutions that meet business and customer needs
Mentor & Elevate: Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and help shape engineering culture in a fast-growing startup
Qualification
Required
5–8 years of data engineering experience, ideally in a high-growth or startup environment
Strong proficiency in Python or Scala, with solid knowledge of SQL
Hands-on experience with modern data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) and data lake technologies
Familiarity with Kafka, Spark, Flink, Airflow, dbt, or similar frameworks
Strong experience with cloud-native data services on AWS, GCP, or Azure
Understanding of data modeling, governance, and performance optimization for large-scale systems
Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and a strong sense of ownership
Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
