2+ years expClayton is a vertically integrated housing company that builds, sells, and insures affordable housing. They are seeking an Assistant Production Manager responsible for directing and coordinating production activities, ensuring quality assurance, and providing leadership to team members.

Responsibilities
Ability to lead large groups of people and focus on developing a culture of accountability working as a team
Strict adherence and compliance with quality assurance requirements to include HUD building codes
Be safety minded and ability to put Safety 1st – must adhere to strict safety rules and guidelines
Reviewing production performance and identifying training opportunities of production personnel as necessary
Direct teams effectively in each department to ensure timelines and production priorities are met
Provide sound leadership, coaching, mentoring, and direction for personnel development and employee engagement
Improve production processes for the purpose of improving overall quality, reducing lead-times, and lowering costs of operations by utilizing Lean Manufacturing methods, 6S, Kaizen, Six Sigma, Total Quality Management, etc. applications where necessary
Lead, guide and direct department leaders
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience
Minimum 2-3 years relevant management experience
Excellent planning and organizational skills
Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills at all levels
Microsoft Word, Excel, as well as basic math skills
Must be detail-oriented and can multi-task effectively
Demonstrated adherence to safety protocols
Ability to adapt quickly and make sound decisions in a changing, fast-paced work environment
Preferred
Previous construction experience strongly preferred
Experience in manufactured housing is greatly desired
Ability to read and understand home building specifications greatly desired
