Vitruvian Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician for their Ortho/Surgical Unit. The PCT provides routine, high-quality patient care under supervision, assists with daily living activities, collects specimens and vital signs, and supports nursing staff while also maintaining patient records and promoting a collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities

Provide routine, high-quality patient care in accordance with established policies and procedures
Assist with activities of daily living, such as dressing, bathing, and eating
Collect non-invasive specimens and vital signs (excluding IV administration)
Support physicians and nursing staff during procedures when needed
Demonstrate flexibility, cooperation, and professionalism in interactions with patients, visitors, physicians, and hospital personnel
Provide essential clerical support within the nursing unit, maintaining and updating patient records
Ensure effective communication and coordination within the unit and across departments
Participate in performance improvement initiatives and help promote a collaborative work environment

Qualification

Certified Nursing AssistantBLS certificationPatient care experienceCommunication skillsTeamwork

Required

Minimum high school graduate or G.E.D. required
BLS certification required immediately upon hire

Preferred

One-year experience as nursing assistant preferred
One-year patient care experience preferred
Certified Nursing Assistant certification preferred or enrolled in accredited nursing program preferred
