ERDC-CHL: Coastal Research Intern - Master's Degree
The Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education is part of the U.S. Department of Defense, focusing on research in various hydrodynamic systems. The Coastal Research Intern will assist in coastal research activities related to hydrodynamics and ocean wave physics, participating in field deployment, data collection, and analysis under the guidance of experienced scientists.

Responsibilities
Participate in coastal research activities related to hydrodynamics, ocean wave physics, and testing/development of new sensors
Make measurements and deploy equipment and instruments in coastal areas
Prepare data products for the ERDC Field Research Facility utilizing existing and upcoming sensor deployments
Engage in data collection, image analysis, workflow/algorithm development, sensor testing, fieldwork, and scientific research in physical oceanography
Qualification
Required
Master's degree in a related field
Experience with coastal research activities such as data processing and analysis, algorithm development, and fieldwork
Motivated to learn new skills and work well independently and as part of a team
Experience with programming languages such as Matlab or Python
U.S. Citizen Only
Master's Degree received within the last 60 months
Discipline(s): Earth and Geosciences, Engineering, Environmental and Marine Sciences
Must be 18 years of age
