As a Regional Buyer II, you will be responsible for sourcing produce, managing vendor partnerships, and ensuring optimal product availability to meet customer demand in the Tampa region.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with Regional Merchandising Manager to define and drive purchase‑order strategies aligned with overarching business goals
Assess inventory levels, logistics timelines, and supply chain constraints to maintain optimal product availability while minimizing stock‑out and overstock risk
Develop & execute a forward‑looking promotional and inventory flow plan, leveraging industry seasonality, vendor supply dynamics, and market insights
Build and nurture strategic vendor partnerships to secure improved terms, consistency in quality, and reliable service delivery; oversee vendor performance at a regional/local level
Use deep customer insights, including preference data and trend forecasting, to source standout products that delight customers and differentiate the assortment
Partner with warehouse operations to oversee product inspection, quality assurance, and cold‑storage protocols and ensure compliance with standards and reduce spoilage or defects
Conduct competitive market research on assortment, pricing, and promotional strategies to identify gaps and opportunities
Produce, present, and translate analytical reports and documentation (e.g. P&L impact, inventory projections, vendor scorecards) to senior leadership
Qualification
Required
3 year+ of experience in procurement grocery, produce, or farming industry (Wholesale or Retail)
Working knowledge of relational databases, and ERP systems
Passion for produce and eagerness to learn more about the industry
Preferred
BS/BA in Business Analytics, Supply Chain, or a related field
Food Safety Certification
