Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a team of mainframe developers in designing, developing, and implementing mainframe applications

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical expertise for solution proposals

Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and uphold coding standards within the team

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in mainframe applications promptly

Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of mainframe applications with other systems

Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies related to mainframe development

Demonstrate strong expertise in mainframe technologies including Cobol, DB2, VSAM, JCL, and CICS

Apply proficiency in debugging, performance tuning, and optimization of mainframe applications

Exhibit thorough understanding of the end-to-end mainframe development lifecycle

Utilize excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and leadership skills to effectively lead a technical team

Possess (or be willing to obtain) certifications in Mainframe technologies or leadership (preferred but not required)
