A&D Specification Manager - West Coast
Formica Group North America is a recognized name in the building industry, and they are seeking an A&D Specification Manager to lead regional specification activities. The role involves developing sales strategies, managing relationships with A&D partners, and coaching the A&D Specialists in their geography.
Responsibilities
Develops and leads regional specification activities to ensure targeted deliverables consistent with business goals are met including optimizing sales strategies, commercial specification development and specification targets; builds, guides & directs regional sales team
A&D Specification Managers are responsible leading, coaching and developing the A&D Specialists in their geography
Establishes and manages key relationships including A&D partners, direct accounts and national accounts
Serves as key interface/liaison with market and specifying customer base, provides market insight and intelligence
Provides the company with accurate source of field research and data on specification projects and competitive activity
Member of the Sales Leadership Team representing the Region and actively participating in sales strategy and execution discussions
Accomplishes regional specification talent management objectives
A&D Spec Managers will identify and align needs for tools with Formica Marketing and Design
Engage with the Formica Market Team, including Territory Managers, A&D Specialists, Regional Sales Managers and Inside Sales
Take the lead with local distribution branches to facilitate project tracking, execution of A&D initiatives and distributor specification representative coaching
Coordinate with the other A&D Spec Managers to track your team’s specifications across the NA business
Create strategies and initiatives to increase specification opportunities
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in business or related field required
Track record of consistently meeting sales goals
Building and leading teams
Strong communication and presentation skills
Proficient in sales planning and project tracking
Demonstrable skill set utilizing Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM software
Overnight travel is required
