Develop long-range plans for IT security systems that anticipates, identify, evaluate, mitigate, and minimize risks associated with IT systems vulnerabilities
Resolve integration issues related to the implementation of new systems with the existing infrastructure
Review proposed new systems, networks, and networks software designs for potential security risks

Basic Qualifications: In order to meet basic qualifications for GS-2210 positions, individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the competencies defined below:

Oral Communication: Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately
Problem Solving: Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations

Specialized Experience: In addition to demonstrating the basic qualifications listed above, applicants must also demonstrate possession of specialized experience. You qualify at the GS-14 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level performing duties such as:
Applying new information technology security developments to ensure current guidelines are updated accurately
Applying project management principles and methods to gain an overview knowledge of future IT enterprise infrastructure
Processing engineering concepts to comply with organizational standards
Leading implementation activities
Assessing new systems design methodologies to improve software quality
Qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement
