The role involves developing macroecological and big data approaches to study university outcomes related to student success and innovation, while providing insights to inform decision-making within the office.

Responsibilities
Develop macroecological/big data approaches to study questions related to university outcomes, including, but not limited to, innovation and student success
Design a model to quantify university and scholarly outcomes that can be applied to multiple related questions and studies
Identify factors that cause outliers within these models for potential further case studies
Provide valuable insights and recommendations based on research findings to inform decision-making within the Office of University Interdisciplinary Programs. Help shape programming and initiatives that enhance university-wide success
Convene groups of leaders to decide upon key metrics
Qualification
Required
Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Higher Education, Higher Education Administration, or related field
Interest in the future, present or past of innovation and discovery
Excellent research and data analysis skills, especially with respect to big data and modeling approaches
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Evidence of effectively finishing projects
Preferred
Proven experience in program evaluation by demonstrating the ability to assess and measure outcomes and achievement of initiatives within higher education settings
The ability to design and implement impactful studies and analyses that assist the university in understanding metrics of student achievement and disruptive science
Extensive experience in big data analysis and quantitative modeling, including measuring outcomes of whole systems, be they forests, microbiomes or universities
