New Grad, Entry LevelThe University of Georgia is the state's flagship university and is currently seeking a Student Assistant to support the Physical Plant tradesmen and the Landscape and Grounds department. The role involves assisting with maintenance tasks including plumbing, carpentry, welding, HVAC, and groundskeeping, as well as acting as a backup for the daily mail route.

Work with tradesmen by assisting with tasks such as plumbing, carpentry, welding, HVAC and other necessary duties to keep campus facilities maintained and working
Work with Landscape and Grounds, as needed, to assist with mowing, weed eating and other such tasks to keep the grounds looking nice
Act as backup for running the daily mail route
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma
Good communication skills
Ability to follow both oral and written instructions
Ability to work without constant supervision
Lift up to 50 lbs. consistently
Driving to run the mail route in varying weather conditions
Bend, stoop, climb, etc
Valid Driver's license
Preferred
Some college education
