Responsibilities
Prepare, review and verify the accuracy of journal entries, supporting schedules, and documentation
Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records in the accounting system
Analyze inventory levels, costing, obsolescence, shrinkage, and valuation for financial reporting
Train junior team members, providing guidance and support as needed
Assist with external audit requests
Ensuring compliance with internal control guidelines
Perform financial variance analysis
Assist management with ad-hoc requests, including special projects
Perform other related duties as required and assigned
Qualification
Required
BBA or BS in Accounting
2-3 years of accounting experience
Thorough knowledge of GAAP
Must be familiar with full cycle accounting
Experience with an ERP system
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis tools)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, without losing attention to detail
Requires initiative based on familiarity with the organization and accounting practices and procedures
Adaptable to multiple and frequent changes in business environment
Preferred
Experience with multi-company processing preferred
Experience with BST or QuickBooks
Experience in identifying and implementing process improvements
