Project Manager/Estimator - Self Perform Wood Framing
Haselden Construction is dedicated to fulfilling their customers' needs with a superior level of service. They are currently seeking a Project Manager/Estimator to oversee wood framed construction projects, ensuring quality standards and profitability are met while managing project execution from planning to close-out.

Responsibilities
Performs material takeoffs and reviews supplier quotes
Prepares project budgets and unit cost reports
Organizes and holds pre-construction planning meetings
Performs the successful negotiation of all project subcontracts
Participates in obtaining permits and resolving other regulatory requirements as necessary
Prepares a project schedule and develops milestones necessary to successfully complete the project in concert with the Project Superintendent
Maintains owner relations
Plans the successful execution of the construction contract
Manages project materials and equipment procurement within the project's budget constraints and consistent with the project delivery schedule
Create pricing for all Pricing Requests, Change Documents, Work Tickets
Negotiates contractor and subcontractor change orders and manages the resulting cost and profit impact
Develops the monthly client pay requests and follows up on the collection of billings
Controls the payment of job costs based on document review and approval and coordinates with the job cost accountant for payments and lien releases
Participates in monthly job cost reviews to declare project status
Create Margin Confirms each month
Coordinates all final close out procedures for the project including as-built drawing, punch lists, final billing, occupancy permit, owner acceptance, project manuals, warranty letters, subcontractor close out, letter of substantial completion, and letter of recommendation
Qualification
Required
B.S. degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent field experience; or four (4) or more years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures or governmental regulations
Ability to write reports and business correspondence
Ability to effectively present technical information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and vendors
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
Ability to read and analyze construction documents for wood framed construction projects
Basic computer skills including knowledge of spreadsheet programs and package estimating systems
