Responsibilities
Work with VP of Operations to define and execute a vision and a roadmap for the Manufacturing Engineering team that is aligned with Lucix’s business goals
Work in collaboration with Chief Manufacturing Engineer to improve company processes for efficiency, expand processes for new markets, and document design standards for manufacturability
Evaluate the performance and potential of each member of the Manufacturing Engineering team and develop them accordingly, mentoring to improve skills
Manage Manufacturing Engineering team tasks to defined deadlines, contributing to OTD for the company. Able to present visual plan for use of resources to meet schedules
Communicates status of activities at the Executive level internally and externally
Implement strategic policies when selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
Establish and assure adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans and performance requirements
Mentor manufacturing engineers in problem solving of complex manufacturing technology issues; when needed, solve them directly
Qualification
Required
Experience in a managerial role within Manufacturing Engineering
Proven ability to define and execute a vision and roadmap for a team
Experience in improving company processes for efficiency
Ability to evaluate performance and potential of team members
Experience in mentoring and developing team skills
Ability to manage tasks to defined deadlines
Experience in communicating status of activities at the Executive level
Ability to implement strategic policies for obtaining results
Experience in establishing and assuring adherence to budgets, schedules, and performance requirements
Ability to mentor engineers in problem solving of complex manufacturing technology issues
