Responsibilities
Perform CT examinations, including chart review, patient care, technical performance, processing, and patient screening
Demonstrates knowledge of operating CT scan units and processing equipment
Perform minor troubleshooting of equipment
Conduct scanning functions in a quick and organized manner to keep within patient scheduling time frames
Ensure patient output is equal to other CT staff
Recognize when to use protocols and when to alter protocols based on patient condition
Administer I.V. contrast skillfully and demonstrate knowledgeable use of pressure injectors
Demonstrate adequate knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy
Operate the Advantage Windows workstation and load the laser processor, performing minor troubleshooting as needed
Review patient record for accurate history, medical necessity, and verification of order, documenting information 100% of the time
Complete all computer verification functions 100% of the time prior to end of shift
Assist the radiologist in performing biopsies, ensuring all supplies and equipment are readily available prior to the procedure
Participate in maintaining adequate stock of supplies in both rooms at all times
Qualification
Required
Performance of CT examinations including chart review, patient care, technical performance, processing, and patient screening
Complete knowledge and understanding of operating CT scan units and processing equipment
Ability to do minor troubleshooting
Perform all scanning functions in a quick and organized manner
Patient output should be equal to other CT staff
Recognizes when to use protocols and when to alter protocols based on the condition of the patient
Skillful administration of I.V. contrast and knowledgeable use of pressure injectors
Adequate knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy
Minimal knowledge required to operate the Advantage Windows workstation
Ability to operate and load the laser processor and perform minor troubleshooting
Review patient record for accurate history, medical necessity, and verification of order and document information 100% of the time
