Responsibilities

Performing outdoor, all-season, on-site geological and environmental investigation work at sites ranging from commercial/industrial sites to open and remote spaces

Conducting subsurface geologic investigations in connection with evaluation of various media (soil, sediment, soil vapor, surface water, and groundwater)

Responsible for fieldwork including coordination of subcontractors, oversight of drilling by subcontractors (hand auger, direct push, hollow-stem auger, air vacuum), installation of soil vapor probes, installation of groundwater monitoring wells, performing hand auger drilling, soil logging, trench logging, surface water and stormwater sampling, collection of environmental samples (soil, sediment, soil vapor, groundwater, ambient air), and preparation of daily field documentation of health and safety and field activities

Assist with preparation of work plans, sampling and analysis plans, health and safety plans, and technical reports (groundwater monitoring reports, Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments)

Assist with preparation of final soil boring logs, cross-sections, trench logs, and other report supporting documentation

Assist with review and interpretation of environmental data

Complete applicable company and client required health & safety training (including OSHA required training) and follow health & safety policies and procedures

Follow established standards, policies, procedures, and guidelines to complete entry level and routine assignments

Required

Bachelor's Degree

Minimum 1 year of experience in environmental projects
