Responsibilities

Prepares and assembles transformer components (tanks, covers, radiators, etc.) for final assembly, operates overhead cranes and forklifts, and prepares the unit for testing
Supports the testing process and disassembles accessories post-testing to prepare the transformer for shipping and dispatch
Performs quality inspections, documents processes, and assists in developing and maintaining technical instructions for assembly and disassembly procedures
Training and mentoring of new hires into department
Planning and reviewing the tasks to be carried out according to pre-established production plan and manufacturing standards
Responsible to fulfill and/or to support to fulfill all protocols, policies, guidelines, and competences coming from all current system [EHS, QA, CyberSec, etc.]

Required

High school degree or equivalent with relevant technical training/experience
At least 1 years of experience in the assembly or disassembly process for large equipment
Experience operating cranes and the ability to obtain a Crane operation certification
Ability to use math, read and interpret complex drawings, and perform complex measurements
Applicant must be able to obtain Keys certification test on reading and writing and Blueprint reading test offered by local community colleges
Applicant must be able to obtain and maintain Fork Truck License and certification for working in heights
Successful applicants must be able to pass standard hearing, vision, and pulmonary function tests
Must also be able to read, write, understand, and follow verbal and/or written instructions in English
Must be willing to relocate temporarily to Mexico, Brazil or Germany for on-the-job training for a period of 3 months based on the proficiency in the area of training
