Responsibilities

Maintain physical plant equipment and systems to minimize downtime and a safe, comfortable environment
Make suggestions for safety, equipment, systems, energy or efficiency improvements
Perform a broad range of maintenance tasks that affect safety, production, facilities, cGMPs and quality. This includes preventive maintenance; basic carpentry, plumbing or electrical; replacing lights; daily, weekly and monthly inspections; replacing filters; assembling, moving or repairing furniture; painting; inspecting and maintaining facility exterior; escorting or assisting contractors
Adhere to all safety and cGMP policies and procedures
Evaluate problems with resulting action or plan to eliminate the condition
Provide timely feedback/notification to maintenance management or lead regarding critical events or conditions
Maintain facility equipment and systems in top operational condition to maximize facility and production uptime
Perform other tasks as delegated or assigned by supervisor

Required

Must be a safety leader who models a safety-first mindset
Follows all safety policies and procedures and maintains a safe, organized work environment
Immediately reports all safety observations, near-misses, or other potential safety hazards
Must be dependable and report to work on time as scheduled
Should be willing to work scheduled as well as unscheduled overtime, weekends, or holidays to correct breakdowns, complete projects, respond to emergencies or weather events as needed to support the business
Participate in on-call rotation
Represents oneself as well as the Department in a mature, professional manner
Understands and supports company goals and objectives
Maintains constructive, positive relationships with personnel at all levels of the organization
Engaged, self-motivated team player
Works with little to no supervision
Effectively communicates both verbally and in writing to keep supervisors, team members or other departments informed of problems, repair status or other issues
Requires knowledge gained through a high school diploma or GED and completion of an accredited or recognized apprenticeship, vocational or corresponding program
Minimum of three years of experience, preferably in an industrial manufacturing environment
