Senior Building Consultant

Halliwell is looking for an experienced Senior Building Consultant to add to our growing and collaborative team of property loss investigative experts. The role involves assessing building damage, leading complex projects, estimating costs, and preparing technical reports while maintaining client relationships and participating in business development events.

Responsibilities

95-100% Billable for year
Project team leader (capable of managing consulting teams; from small teams, up to large teams and multiple service groups, depending on level of experience)
Estimating (complex residential, multifamily, commercial, and industrial facilities)
Medium to High exposure ROM development (complex residential, multifamily, commercial, and industrial facilities)
Medium to complex technical reports (complex residential, multifamily, commercial, and industrial facilities)
Capable of technical field inspections across all disciplines (complex residential, multifamily, commercial, and industrial facilities)
High-level communication skills with clients and project representatives
Complete management items as directed by Director/Assistant Director
Daily communication with project-related team members, including weekly project-related schedules
Maintain full knowledge and status of project-related team members’ billable hours, status of deliverables, and maintain project-specific KPI tracking information
Capable of reviewing all team member project deliverables
Review and maintain project file structures and deadlines
Review team project-related timesheets and expense reports daily
Oversee project setup and staffing
Train and mentor team members on all aspects of project-related field inspections, deliverables, and admin related tasks
Participate in local business development client events
Maintain client relationships

Required

5-10 years assessing building damage during CAT duty and working with insurance carriers
1-5 years project management experience
Active and proven insurance industry relationships with GA and RGA level adjusters, up to EGA and NGA level adjusters for more senior level experts
Experience evaluating building damage and estimating scope and cost to restore and repair
Travel required for local, regional, and national business client assignments
Ability to conduct on-site inspections in the field, including the examination of damaged structures in a variety of environments, often in heavily damaged locales where site safety is constantly evaluated. Climbing over debris and on ladders is frequently required
