Responsibilities
Teach 30 contact hours each year in the Music Department
Serve on departmental, divisional and institutional committees
Hold six office hours per week (some of which must be on campus)
Pursue professional development opportunities related to discipline and pedagogy
Direct ensembles and teach applied music and music core courses such as music theory and aural skills
Organize juries and assist with repertoire classes
Oversee course outcome updates in applied music syllabi
Help curate extracurricular events such as the Jazz Invitational and the Jazz Festival
Qualification
Required
Master's degree in music or related field
Demonstrated pedagogical skills with 2 years of collegiate teaching experience
Experience in directing instrumental ensembles
Experience as a performing professional musician
