Amalgamated Sugar Company is a proud leader in the sugar industry seeking an Administrative Assistant to oversee office operations under the Warehouse Manager's direction. The role involves performing various administrative duties, managing office personnel, and ensuring efficient warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

Perform administrative duties from normal correspondence to technical reports, including the handling of confidential matters

Assist the Warehouse Manager in the preparation of the Department Budget and monitors expenditures

Meet and interface with others as required at all levels of Company, as well as with representatives from the outside

Work with NSM our marketing group scheduling orders for customers as well as changes

Manage all administration services for the Portland Warehouse. Accounts receivable, Accounts payable and Inventory control

Communicate orally and in writing. Read and understand oral and written policies, safety and environmental requirements, and other company policies

Responsible for selecting, training and development of the office personnel

Assist with the progressive disciplinary process in the area of counseling, oral and written warnings; ensures a productive climate in the office environment

Filing and tracking of reports related to warehouse operations

Answer telephones as necessary

Perform other related duties as required
