The Quality Assurance/Food Science Summer Internship provides an opportunity to learn about food manufacturing through project-based work, focusing on process improvement and quality metrics. Interns will gain valuable experience and are expected to present their project findings to corporate management at the conclusion of the internship.

Responsibilities

Collect, document, review, and transfer test results from external sources to internal documentation

Perform data collection, trend quality metrics, and communicate results

Draft, implement, and maintain SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures)

Assist in developing, updating, and monitoring of corrective and preventive actions

Daily logging of incoming raw materials into a database

Sample preparation testing

Learn and apply standards and principles of auditing and related techniques

Ability to analyze audit data to identify trends and summarize in reports with recommendations to management

Participate in cross-functional projects, work groups
