They are seeking a Carpenter-Mobility Equipment Installation Specialist to lead home modification projects, providing installation, service, and repair of mobility products to help individuals with mobility challenges regain their freedom and independence.
Responsibilities
Provides installation, service, repair and instruction of use for mobility products and equipment
Installation of ramps, vertical platform lifts, patient lifts, grab bars, auto lifts, elevators and other related products
Evaluates the customers environment for effective means for installation of mobility products
Assist with home remodeling for ease of access for disabled persons
Schedules service calls and deliveries based on work orders
Contacts customers through the phone and in person to provide technical service support
Thoroughly trains customers how to use the product(s) in a safe manner
Expedites the resolution of customer problems and complaints
Coordinates daily work efforts with all aspects of the organization
Maintains warehouse inventory in an organized and efficient manner
Identifies and adheres to safe workplace practices and observance of OSHA and fire regulations
Safely load equipment in an orderly and secure manner in accordance with policies
Transport products in a company vehicle in a safe and courteous manner, adhering to all traffic laws
Utilizes the proprietary operating system to record customer interactions, upload pictures and other related paperwork, set and review scheduled appointments
Qualification
Required
Must possess 2+ years of experience in contracting or carpentry related work
Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and carpentry equipment
Mechanical and technical ability with electronics and installation and servicing of products
Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
Demonstrated aptitude for problem‐solving
Must be results‐orientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications
Have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
Ability to work in all weather conditions
Willingness to work extended hours and weekends
Preferred
Experience in equipment installation, repair, or maintenance
Familiarity with electrical or plumbing systems
Previous experience in customer-facing roles, demonstrating professionalism and communication skills
Background in accessibility solutions, remodeling, or specialty installations
