They are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer, Journeyman to support systems engineering activities related to sustainment, upgrades, and safety of the T-6B Texan II, while ensuring fleet readiness and training mission effectiveness.

Responsibilities

Support systems engineering activities related to sustainment, upgrades, and safety of the T-6B Texan II

Monitor system performance, integration, and airworthiness

Coordinate with stakeholders across NAVAIR, training squadrons, and contractors to ensure fleet readiness and training mission effectiveness

Contribute to risk management, technical documentation, and compliance with acquisition standards

Qualification

Required

Demonstrated experience in an area of engineering expertise is required

Bachelor's degree in technical or scientific field from an accredited college or university

Three (3) years of recent and relevant experience

This position is subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information

Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to complete the full background investigation

This position requires an Active Secret Security Clearance with ability to obtain and maintain a higher clearance if required

Preferred

Fixed-Wing Aviation Experience: familiarity with aircraft systems, flight training operations, or acquisition support for fixed-wing aircraft

Knowledge of systems engineering processes and naval acquisition lifecycle
