Responsibilities
Define Technical Direction: Architect and set the technical strategy for some of Cloudflare's most critical and complex infrastructure projects within R2
Drive Architectural Decisions: Lead large-scale architectural discussions and decisions that impact multiple teams and services across Cloudflare
Engineer Scalable Systems: Design, implement, and optimize distributed systems that operate reliably under extreme load and at massive, global scale
Solve Ambiguous Problems: Lead technical investigations, breaking down complex and ambiguous challenges into clear, actionable plans
Foster Collaboration: Work closely with engineers across various teams, product managers, and infrastructure stakeholders to align goals, drive consensus, and ensure timely delivery
Qualification
Required
Experience in architecting and setting technical strategy for complex infrastructure projects
Proven ability to lead large-scale architectural discussions and decisions
Strong experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing distributed systems
Ability to solve complex and ambiguous problems with clear, actionable plans
Experience fostering collaboration across various teams and stakeholders
