Responsibilities

Acting as the primary maintenance contact for our SEM/FIB and Cs-corrected (S)TEM

Coordinating activities with staff from across the lab

Training users

Managing documents

Running experiments

Collecting data

Qualification

Required

Experience with (scanning) transmission electron microscopy and/or focused ion beam operation

Experience with complementary data analysis software (e.g., image processing, EBSD, EDS, or EELS processing; custom data processing using Python, R, or similar)

Experience with sample preparation for electron microscopy

Strong organizational and collaborative skills to manage daily laboratory operations and work with a multitude of people spanning various backgrounds

The ability to obtain a DOE Q clearance and Human Reliability Program certification

Position requires a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution and 5 years related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation
