InternParkview Health is providing a unique internship opportunity for students or recent graduates in fields related to exercise and sports performance. Interns will assist strength and conditioning coaches in developing and implementing sports performance programs for youth and high school athletes, as well as individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, while completing two major projects focused on training program design and return-to-play strategies.

Responsibilities
Assist in the development and implementation of sports performance programs for youth club athletes ages 8 to 19, high school athletes across all sports, and individuals returning from orthopedic injuries
Observe and support all aspects of training, including warm-ups, speed and agility drills, resistance training, and recovery sessions
Complete a year-round training program tailored to a specific athlete demographic and sport, including assessment, warm-up, plyometrics, speed and agility training, resistance training, and recovery strategies
Develop a return-to-play program for an athlete recovering from an orthopedic injury, considering assessment protocols, warm-up design, exercise regressions, and key return-to-sport competencies
Qualification
Required
Strong communication skills
Passion for working with athletes in a performance setting
Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
Demonstrate a strong desire to learn
Foundational understanding of human movement and training principles
Must be a current undergraduate college student or graduate college student
GPA of 3.0 or above
Submission of Cover Letter, Resume and Letter of Recommendation
Preferred
Current CPR/AED certification
Specific educational focus or degree may be preferred depending on the hosting department of the internship
